RAIN OUT POLICY -  If an event is cancelled due to weather, after the event has begun, only flights that have completed the same number of holes will receive prize money for that day.

      Play the ball up, may move ball 12" (club length in scrambles) in like conditions.

   Putts are given within 12"

      Unless otherwise noted, the penalty for breach of a Local Rule or Condition is:  Stroke Play – Two Strokes

     Occasional local abnormal conditions might interfere with fair play.  The Events Chairman may on the day of play invoke the “lift, clean, and place” rule as follows:  If a player’s ball lies on a closely mown area through the green the player may mark, lift and clean his ball without penalty.  Before lifting he must mark the position of the ball.  The player must then place the ball on a spot within one club-length of and not nearer the hole than where it originally lay, that is not in a hazard or on a putting green.

     Through the green, a ball that is embedded in its own pitch-mark in the ground, other than sand, may be lifted without penalty, cleaned and dropped as near as possible to where it lay but not nearer the hole.  The ball when dropped must first strike a part of the course through the green.

     Distance measuring devices will be allowed as long as they measure DISTANCE ONLY!  The use of devices that gauge or measure other conditions that might affect play (e.g., wind, elevation, or gradient) is not permitted.

      Rock areas in the fairway and rough are considered to be “ground under repair” and relief is available if the ball lies in or touches the rocky area or the rocky area interferes with the area of intended swing. 
Relief for stance alone is not available.  The player may lift the ball and drop it within one club-length of the nearest point of relief.

      Stones in bunkers are movable obstructions.

      All flowerbeds are deemed to be “ground under repair” from which play is prohibited.  If the player’s ball lies in the area, or if it interferes with the player’s stance or the area of intended swing, the player must take relief.

      Protection of young trees – If such a tree or the guy wires supporting the tree interferes with a player’s stance or the area of his intended swing, the ball must be lifted, without penalty, and dropped in accordance with the procedure (Immovable Obstruction).

      Pine straw is a “loose impediment” unless it is used as mulch in a flowerbed in which case it is considered to be part of the flowerbed.

      Immovable Obstruction (sprinkler head, drain, valve cover, etc) Close to the Putting Green – Relief from interference by an immovable obstruction may be taken.  In Addition, if a ball lies off the putting green but not in a hazard and an immovable obstruction on or within two club-lengths of the putting green and within two club-lengths of the ball intervenes on the line of play between the ball and the hole, the player may take relief as follow:  The ball must be lifted and dropped at the nearest point to where the ball lay that (a) is not nearer the hole, (b) avoids intervention and (c) is not in a hazard or on a putting green.  The ball may be cleaned when lifted.

     The culvert and rocks in the drainage ditch on  De Soto #15 (right side of fairway approximately 150 yards from the green)  are immovable obstructions and the player is entitled to relief without penalty and a ball dropped in accordance with the procedure (Immovable Obstruction).  The ball may be considered to be lost in the obstruction and does not have to be retrieved.
